![]() I'm running Lion with 8GB RAM, two SSDs and 2.25 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, if you needed my specifications. I uninstalled Unity Web Player and my fan is going under 2000 rpms and my computer is only 60 degrees Celsius. I checked my Activity Monitor when I was not browsing the web and just on my desktop and Unity Web Player (Firefox Plugin) was using almost 50% CPU all the time. In order to deploy Unity Web Player on your PC, just download and launch the installer, proceed with the ‘terms and conditions’, and let the process complete on its own. ![]() The speed of my MBP wasn't effected, but the noise, the fans, and the battery life was severely effected. I remembered installing Unity Web Player about a day or two ago. My MBP only gets hot if it's on my lap or i'm playing a flash game (oh gotta love flash) or a major game (StarCraft II, etc.). I usually use Chrome for Kong (because firefox doesnt reliably save Flash), but I was using IE to try to play a Unity Web Player game because its supposed to still work in IE. The battery was draining much faster than normal and the fan was running nonstop and the computer was also hot while I was doing nothing, which is unusual. I suggest that you use Chrome or FireFox (or Edge or Safari). I noticed that my computer was running awfully hard. If you are still getting this problem, maybe you have to download and reinstall the Web Player directly from Unity’s web page. You can try it with another browser like FireFox or Opera and it will work. ![]() Ok, so I downloaded Unity Web Player for the upcoming Family Guy Online game.
